Specifically, for some of the above brands, this are the disaster consequences:
Six Hitachi manufacturing facilities, located in the northern area of Japan, heavily struck by the March 11 earth-quake, have been closed and are in inspection state. No estimates for reopening.
Product types like Plasma TVs, LCD TVs, camcorders and DVD players are the most affected by this.



Toshiba says is examining damage to its plant, no estimate for the reopening dates have been made yet. Norio Sasaki, Toshiba President has been ordered by Prime Minister Naoto Kan to help with efforts to stop radiation leaking from the Fukushima plant.
iPhone and iPad NAND Flash memory chips used in the are being manufactured by Toshiba. 32GB NAND chip price increased by 20% in component markets.
iPad 2 and similar tablets seem to be the most affected products.

Sad to know about this information because it suffer the demands which makes the product increase because of the unavailability.Hope that they can recover as soon as possible.
